Wazzup, Mike?

For the past 16 months, I’ve been promising to largely withdraw from ‘social media’ and shift my writing primarily to this blog.  Sadly, I’ve been too busy “doing stuff” to find (or make) time to write about it all.  That’s finally about to change!

In the short term, I’ll share my thoughts here, then post a link on my personal Facebook page.  I won’t take public comments either here on this blog or in response on my Facebook page.  Why?  Because this is my journal — perhaps an eventual autobiography — so I’m not about to let others write whatever they want on it.  Sorry.

It’s not that I don’t want to hear what you have to say.  Actually, I do.  So, for each post, I’ll provide an email link to send me your thoughts.  I’ll consider them — with an open mind.  If they’re worth sharing or commenting on, I’ll do so — fairly and honestly.  And if you change my mind on something I’d written, I’ll acknowledge that — and give you my sincere thanks.

Eventually, I’ll post only a weekly summary of my blog posts on my ‘Eye of Mike’ group.  That way, if you don’t care to hear what I have to say, you’ll only be bothered once a week with a simple notification.  Of course, you could choose to leave the group — in which case, I might choose to bid you farewell.
